I called it in my away message about 3 hours before tip off. A Warriors blowout on national TV. About 50% of that prediction is what I felt, and the other 50 was just being flat out optimistic, but I'll take it. The W's won me a couple hundred dollars last night thanks to the money line/over under parlay. I was seriously sweating when they almost blew that 25 point lead.
Turnover after turnover and quick jumpers in the 4th. Why?
Whatever. They got the much needed win and that's all that matters.
Highlight of the night?
The dunk was nasty, but I keep on watching it over and over to see Nash duck out of the way with the B-Train coming through. (Biedrins and Monta need some nicknames!) I love how Nellie exploited the two-time MVP by making him play defense. I don't understand why more teams don't try to do that.
1 game out with the Kings hosting the Clippers tonight. I never thought I'd say this, but GO KINGS!
I can't stand Kenny Smith. I'm tired of hearing about his days with the Rockets. He talks like he played a vital role during their championship runs. He won those rings because of Olajuwon, not because of him. Dude, quit talking like you were a great player.
I used to enjoy watching Inside the NBA until I realized how little these guys actually know. They may know a lot about the game itself and about the top teams in the NBA, but other than that, they don't know shit. They spit out garbage like they actually watch the games. Monta Ellis is a big guard? WTF? I guess if you call a 6'3" 177 lbs a big guard.
I specifically remember Barkley talking about the 8-player trade between the Warriors and the Pacers. He said that the Pacers will now be in the class of Detroit, Miami, and Cleveland in the Eastern Conference. An 11 game losing streak later, they're fighting to even make the playoffs. Good call Barkley. If he had watched the Warriors play at all he would know that Dunleavy is NOT a good shooter, and he and Murphy are both terrible defenders. Come on, watch a game or two before throwing out ridiculous statements like the Pacers are now contenders in the Eastern Conference.
It goes like this: One expert says something and everyone else just spits out the same garbage because they don't know enough to form an opinion of their own. Did you read or hear one person other than people that follow the Warriors say the Warriors got the better end of the deal? I sure didn't.
Enough with my rant. I feel like Ralph Barbieri and his rant about how he wouldn't have traded for Baron Davis had he known what he knows now. But wait, my rant actually makes some sense...
