I wrote an entry over two years ago saying, "Like Damon Bruce said on KNBR, there isn't more bang for your buck in professional sports right now than Warriors basketball." At the time it was the truth; it couldn't be argued. Now this statement is absolutely laughable. Injuries? Sure, the roster has been absolutely decimated by injuries. However, in my opinion the W/L total is not the reason everybody is so down on this team. It's the front office. Chris Cohan and Co. ran a special (special being used as a relative term since the playoffs are special for Warriors fans)team into the ground with it's lack of direction, or should I say direction by a complete and incompetent fool. Yes, I'm talking about you, Robert Rowell.
Just think about the main contributors to that playoff team in '07. In a 2.5 year span, Jason Richardson, Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, Matt Barnes, Mickael Pietrus, Al Harrington, and Sarunas Jasikevicius (jk) are all gone. Yep, only the Warriors. Quite a few people have asked me what I thought about the Warriors turning down the OJ Mayo and Hasheem Thabeet for Monta Ellis deal. In one word, typical.
And just for kicks:
