The man I talked to that witnessed the accident was telling me the cyclist was weaving in and out of traffic almost getting hit by cars before he was eventually struck by the bus. The bus driver didn't have a chance to stop.
I don't think there is anything that puts life into perspective like seeing a dead body, especially when it could have been avoided. It put me in a very solemn, reflective mood the entire weekend. If he had family, I wish them well. Rest in peace.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A 49-year-old bicyclist who collided with a Sacramento city bus has died about five blocks from the state Capitol.
Sacramento police say the man was pulled under the bus at about 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators were trying to determine whether the bus hit the cyclist or if he crashed into the side of the bus.
A Sacramento Police Department spokesman says there was no indication that the bus driver was negligent or driving impaired.
The bus was heading westbound along L street, which runs past the state Capitol. No passengers were injured.
The victim's name has not been released.
Alane Masui, spokeswoman for the Sacramento Regional Transit District, says the bus driver was interviewed and tested for drugs and alcohol. She expected the results to come back in a few days.
The driver has been placed on routine administrative leave.
