Good question. It's a fair comparison because of their similar skill sets and body types. I would say that KD is a more efficient scorer in his third season than McGrady ever was. McGrady has better court vision, but I think Durant is a better rebounder. I think one of the main differences is attitude. By all accounts Durant is as humble as they come and has an unparalleled work ethic. He gets along with his teammates and coaches. None of that has been said about T-Mac.

I feel I am getting more talent in return, but now I have three players (Chris Young, Jason Heyward, Kevin Youkilis) for one Uti spot. Mark Reynolds and Joey Votto are also on the block. Any combination of those five that can get me a stud position player or a top of the line pitcher would be ideal.
After the Hanley trade, I still think my hitting is above average, but I really like my pitching now.

If you guys don't know, it was revealed that the mystery pitcher was Edinson Volquez. After I first heard the rumor, I just hoped like hell it wasn't a Giant. I would think Matt Cain and Brian Wilson fit the billing of the "semi-big" pitcher that was mentioned in the rumor. I'm glad it wasn't one of them.
