Meeting Monta Ellis

Jill and I walked to the train at 6:15 am to catch our ride to San Jose. First we went to Valley Fair to get our grub on and do a little shopping.

There's a new member of the family. Jill and I made a little bear at the Build-A-Bear place and we dressed it in a Warriors uniform. Haha.

This is him:

We then took a taxi to the Verizon location where Monta was signing. We showed up at 1:30 to get in line early. There were about 100 people in front of us in line. As time passed there was probably about 400-500 people behind us waiting. The line went down the street around the traffic light and just kept going. Insane! I feel bad for the hundreds of people that weren't able to get anything signed.

So we're standing in line and we finally see Monta as we enter the Verizon store. As I got closer I noticed how he was writing.

It's a good thing he is a nasty basketball player because you know he didn't go to school based on how he writes.

What did we have signed?

Monta authentic and swingman. I'll probably just leave them in Zip-lock bags in my closet with my other signed jerseys and get them framed nicely when I have some money.

What's the difference between a first and second round pick?

A first round pick would be able to afford some Spacejams with icey soles.
