It's unbelievable how good the Western Conference is. There are 10 legitimate teams vying for 8 spots. The two teams that don't make it to the playoffs, whether it be Houston, Utah, Portland, the Warriors, or some other team, could be the 3rd, but no worse than the 4th best team in the Eastern Conference. To put it into perspective, the 4th seed Washington Wizards would be 11th in the West. Amazing. With that said, are the Warriors going to make the playoffs?
The Warriors just finished one of their toughest portions of the season playing the likes of Denver twice, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, San Antonio and Portland going 3-4 in that stretch. They are currently 20-16 and the 8th seed in the Conference, but with their upcoming schedule, it's time to start passing some teams. I'm going to predict that the Warriors are going to win their next 9 games. Wait, what?? 9 game winning streak??
Yeah, I said it. Look who the Warriors play in their next 9 games:

vs. Indiana
@ Minnesota
@ Indiana
@ Chicago
@ Milwaukee
vs. Minnesota
vs. New Jersey
vs. New York
@Minnesota through @ Milwaukee is 4 games in 5 nights on the road, but if the Warriors are going to make the playoffs, they have to beat the teams that they should beat. Anything less than 7-2 during this stretch is a failure in my opinion.
After the Warriors close out January against Houston and New Orleans, they only have ONE road game in the month of February. It's time to clean up against these weak Eastern Conference teams and take care of business at home so they can put some distance between themselves and the 8th seed.

I've stopped betting on sports for the time being. No, it's not because I was losing money. Actually, I was in the midst of a 15-4 hot streak.
So why am i quitting then?
I just feel like I need to concentrate on school right now. When I bet on games I would spend too much time analyzing each game to help make my picks for the day. Although i feel like I'm pretty good at capping the NBA, I just don't feel like it's worth the time right now when I need to be getting better grades. However, feel free to ask for my opinion about any games you're thinking about.
Any bets on the over/under of days my abstaining from betting lasts? :P
