Passing of the Torch

Lakers fans: are you nervous yet or are you still blinded by your arrogance? Every Lakers fan that I talked to before game 4 said that they weren't worried about the loss and that they will get it together to win the series in five games. Kobe had a bad game. James Harden won't play that well again. The Lakers are too experienced and the Thunder are too young. Well if you're not worried now after the game 4 route, you should be.

I don't know if it really is just arrogance clouding the judgment of Lakers fans or if it's just a front they're putting up to seem like they aren't worried, because ya know, the Lakers are the reigning champs and they shouldn't be scared of an eight seed. Regardless of the reason, it's very amusing to me. It kind of reminds me of when the Warriors were playing the Mavericks (but 100x worse) and Mavericks fans were saying they weren't worried about the dominance that the Warriors displayed over them really ever since the Mike Montgomery era. Did they really have the utmost confidence in their 67-win squad or was it a front? I actually wrote about it here.

Regardless of the outcome of the series, this is the passing of the torch. World, say hello to Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
